The Department of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery recognises itself as a university centre for diagnosis and therapy and the prevention of congenital and acquired diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
The chief aim of the Department of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery is to give the patients the best possible medical treatment. We orientate ourselves on the high international standards.
We aim for the best possible individual care using the available resources consistent with the patents in the course of integrated nursing care. Nursing care links the multi professional team and provides a direct contact for the patients and their representatives.
Our staff is important to us. They form the guarantee for the success of our Clinic. The respectful contact with one another, constructive team work and target-oriented, individual advanced training and further education have a very high significance.
The appreciative contact with one another irrespective of age, sex, origin, culture, religion, nationality, political views and sexual orientation is a specific concern for us. Everybody is accepted in their individuality and self-determination.
A particular focal point in our work is the scientific research of the diseases treated at our Clinic from the cause, progression, diagnosis and therapy according to epistemic principles.
An important concern is teaching, whereby our highly qualified colleagues pass on orthopaedic knowledge and scientific expertise according to the newest, up-to-date standards to the students.
We consider it our responsibility towards society and for the conservation of our environment to deal with the resources given to us responsibly and efficiently.
