Research into the development, progression and treatment of injuries is a key focus of the Department of Trauma Surgery. The aim of our research activities is to understand the nature of injuries, to find approaches for faster healing and to optimize treatment.
Research activities are divided into research clusters and research laboratories. Within these clusters, key topics are defined and projects are jointly developed and coordinated.
Each planned project is presented in regular cooperative research meetings before it begins.
